I started taking a likeness to Borussia Dortmund in 2009, when Jurgen Klopp was their manager and Lucas Barrios was their lead striker. I have alway admired Bayern and I still do, but I believe every neutral soccer (or football) fan should be supportive of a great underdog story. That is why I loved the Dortmund story of those years and even supported them in the Champions League final, same with Atletico Madrid back in 2014 and of course, the Leicester City miracle of the 2015/2016 season.
I love the work Thomas Tuchel is doing at Dortmund and would love him to be next in line if or when Wenger decides to leave Arsenal. In this post, we are taking a good look at Borussia Dortmund’s home jersey for this season.
Borussia Dortmund 16/17 Home Jersey
If the plan remains the same, Puma is set to keep manufacturing Dortmund’s jerseys until 2020. Their traditional home colour has always been yellow and the 2016/17 home jersey is no different. The jersey features three longitudinal black stripes running down the front of the shirt and one running down on each sleeve.
The shirt boasts a simple crew neck design collar and an inscription of the club’s acronym ‘BVB’ somewhere in the back collar. In the lower back, there is a largely visible printing of ‘Dortmund’.
The front of Borussia Dortmund’s 2016/17 Home Jersey contains the official club crest, the Puma logo and the Evonik sponsor print and logo centre-aligned beneath. The Puma logo also appears on both sleeves.
The complete Borussia Dortmund Home kit for this season features the yellow jersey, black shorts and a nice blend of both yellow and black socks.
