I love Atletico . If you are one of us whose love for the sport is greater than the love for our team, you would probably love Atletico too. Back when it used to be either Barcelona or Real Madrid calling the shots in Spain with close to zero competition or spoilers, I used to root for Barcelona. After the appointment of Diego Simeone in 2011, I found a team to love in Spain as the season progressed.
I have many managers I might tolerate in Arsenal because I think they would do a better job than Wenger, but my number choice would be Diego Simeone. Comparing the size and budget of his club with what he has been able to achieve, one could argue he is the best soccer coach on the planet right now.
We proceed to talk about Atletico’s Home Jersey for the 2016/17 season.
Atletico Madrid 2016/17 Home Jersey
Nike has been Atletico’s kit manufacturer for the past 9 years and they still are the manufacturers of their 2016/17 kit. For as long as I care to remember, the traditional colours of their home kit has always been red and white and their home jersey for this season is no different. The front of the jersey features 3 red stripes and 4 white stripes.
The most notable difference between the home jersey of this season and the one from last season are the rear stripes this season. Last season, the back of the jersey was completely red. Another difference is the presence of blue details around the neck and on each side of the jersey.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of their stay in the Vincente Calderón Stadium, there is a honorary graphic inside the jersey in the neck region.
The front of the Atletico Madrid 2016-17 Home Jersey has the usual suspects: the Nike logo, the official club crest and the Plus500 sponsor print.
The complete Atletico Madrid Home kit for this season features the red/white jersey with matching blue shorts and socks.
