These are exciting times at the Eastlands, with Manchester City fans daring to dream about coming years of success both locally and continentally. A major rebranding appears to be going on in the blue side of Manchester with the capture of a rare gem in Pep Guardiola and a change in the Manchester City emblem. In the midst of all the excitement in the unveiling of their new manager, City also unveiled their home jersey for the 2016-2017 season which is set to be debuted in their upcoming pre-season friendly fixtures.
Manchester City 2016/2017 Home Jersey
Anyone who has followed Man City for a few years would know their traditional home jersey colour is sky blue. This has not changed with the 2016-2017 home jersey. The 2016/2017 home jersey is pre-dominantly sky blue, with a blend of navy and light blue on the sleeves and top of the back area. The elastic on the sleeves ensures a snug fit for the jersey. There is an inscription of “City” at the back-collar.
This jersey shows off they new Nike AeroSwift technology, making the shirts lighter, more breathable and more flexible.
The front of the Manchester City 16-17 Home Jersey contains the new official club crest, the Nike logo and of course, the Etihad Airways Sponsor print beneath. The Jersey has a longitudinal navy stripe on each side.
The complete Manchester City 2016/2017 Home kit will feature matching jerseys and shorts, along with white socks.
